One Way Charter
One-way charter is the type of cruising holiday that implies embarking in one charter base and disembarking in another one.
Just like with a standard charter, you can choose between a variety of yachts for one-way charter holidays, especially among sailing yachts, gulets and motor sailers, allowing you to have a more profound experience of many splendid cruising destinations on the Adriatic coast.
The most popular and requested one-way route is from Split area (Split, Kastela, Seget Donji, Trogir) to the south of Croatia, particularly Dubrovnik and vice – versa. One-way charter may be arranged from other bases as well, but only upon clients’ request.
If you opt for a one-way route, you will have the opportunity to discover Croatia’s breathtaking scenery, a medley of historical and cultural treasures hiding in a string of captivating islands and ports all along the Adriatic coast, all in a single cruising trip.
In case you are considering this type of charter, the best time to start planning your cruising adventure is prior to the beginning of the sailing season, which will leave you with a much wider choice of destinations and yachts available for one-way charters.
This is particularly important because not all yachts are available for such charters, only a limited number of boats previously selected by the charter company itself.
However, some of the yachts may be offered to clients for a one-way charter upon their request even though they weren’t initially intended for one-way. In those cases, duration of the charter may be shortened if the chartered yacht must be returned to the main marina by Saturday.
You will then be asked to disembark by Friday morning so that a skipper has enough time to return the boat to the main marina. However, if the next charter is also one-way, you won’t have to disembark earlier because the yacht isn’t required to be returned to the main base.
In case you don’t possess a valid sailing license or you don’t feel confident enough to handle the yacht yourself, you may consider renting a skippered or fully crewed yacht. With a skipper or a professional crew on board, you will not have to worry about navigation and returning the boat to the main marina and you can completely relax and enjoy every moment of your sailing holiday in Croatia.
When it comes to one-way charters, you should also bear in mind that these types of charters usually entail a one-way fee, which may vary on the size of the yacht and the distance between embarkation and disembarkation points.
Moreover, one-way charters may be convenient if you plan to travel to Croatia by plane or ferry, leaving you with a variety of arrival and departure ports at your disposal. On the other hand, if you decide to travel by car and want to leave your car at the main marina, we can easily arrange a transfer back to the marina.
